My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion and an understanding that many people come in feeling pulled in different directions or unsure of where they’re headed. In our work together, I aim to offer a supportive space where you can show up just as you are and explore what clarity, healing, and support might look like for you. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Master of Arts student in Counselling Psychology, providing therapy under clinical supervision. I work with individuals navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem concerns, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, viewing clients as whole people rather than a set of symptoms, and value curiosity, reflection, and moving at a pace that feels right. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Together, we may explore patterns in thoughts and emotions, reflect on the stories you hold about yourself, and build on your existing strengths to support meaningful and lasting change. My work is especially attuned to first-generation and bicultural experiences, where transitions often carry added layers of cultural expectations, family responsibility, and identity negotiation. I support individuals who may feel caught between worlds, navigating who they are becoming while staying connected to where they’ve come from. You don’t have to sort this out alone. Growing up in an immigrant household shaped my awareness of how culture, family roles, and unspoken expectations can influence emotional well-being. These experiences deepened my sensitivity to identity, belonging, and the quiet ways people carry their struggles, and they continue to inform my commitment to culturally responsive and compassionate care. I strive to offer a space that honours the fullness of your story, without asking you to simplify any part of it. All parts of you are welcome here.

If you landed on this page, you took the first step. As humans we have the capacity to adapt and discover more meaning & joy in life as we face and overcome obstacles in life. To me, happiness is the process of solving problems and developing more adaptive ways of being. I am excited to help you overcome challenges and achieve your wellness goals. Hi, my name is Ramona and welcome to my page! As a therapist, I take you seriously. Not just what you say, but what you’re bringing with you. My clients often tell me they feel genuinely understood, because I notice the weight you’re carrying, the patterns you’ve been sitting with, and the parts of your story that actually matter. I’m curious about who you are in the context of everything that shaped you: your culture, your relationships, your upbringing. I connect those threads with what’s happening with you now. I see individuals and couples across a wide range of experiences: mood disorders like depression and anxiety, identity work, ADHD, grief, and trauma. I’m equally comfortable supporting someone navigating a single difficult season or working through patterns that have persisted for years. I have particular experience with adolescents and young adults, as well as adults in midlife transitions. Whether you’re coming in with a specific crisis or just a sense that something needs to shift, I meet you where you are. Over my 10+ years as a therapist, I’ve developed an integrative approach. I draw on CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused therapy, Narrative therapy, and EFT for couples. For trauma, I use EMDR, inner child work, and attachment-based approaches. I trained in nervous system work and trauma-informed yoga in Indonesia. I understand how trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. More than the techniques, what ties them together is that I believe you already have the answers within you. My job is to create the conditions where those answers surface. Real trust and empathy. The safety to explore. The space to discover what change actually looks like for you. I’m a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and specialize in relational therapy. I work from a multicultural, anti-oppressive perspective, which means I’m attuned to the systems and contexts that shape your experience. With me, you get access to therapy from the comfort of your space!

Top Specialities: trauma, anxiety, attachment issues I believe our life events shape us into who we are today. We weren’t BORN with an inner critic, perfectionism, or people-pleasing tendencies! Something happened in our lives that taught us those behaviours. Maybe we learned that it’s less painful to avoid confrontation than to risk rejection or failure. Maybe we learned that to ensure safety, we must be hypervigilant, constantly looking out for threats. Those behaviours likely helped you survive at one time, but now, they might be causing chronic anxiety, difficulties in your relationships, and low self-esteem. I will help you understand your emotions and unlearn beliefs and coping behaviours that are no longer serving you. We’ll learn how your past and present experiences are contributing to the issues you want to let go of, and carve a path forward. Therapy can help you process your experiences and develop coping skills to manage your reactions and emotions. I have experience helping with anxiety/stress/burnout, trauma, relationship/attachment issues, self-esteem, depression, emotion regulation, and borderline personality disorder. I’m especially passionate about treating developmental/attachment trauma to improve self-esteem, foster safety and security, and move towards secure attachment patterns. My Approach/Style As a therapist, I have a friendly, authentic, and warm demeanour. I believe a strong connection with your therapist is of crucial importance, so I take extra care to ensure I’m understanding your needs and perspective. (This doesn’t mean I’ll never challenge you!). I’m also happy to share appropriate information about my own life if helpful and relevant. I believe everyone has inner wisdom and resilience. I respect your autonomy, so I will always support you in coming to your own conclusions and finding your own solutions. But I also don’t shy away from sharing different insights and perspectives, or giving guidance and advice if needed. Types of Therapy After spending some time getting to know you, I’ll apply the therapy techniques that best suit your concerns. I use techniques informed by schema therapy, inner child work, IFS, ACT, CBT, DBT, EFT, mindfulness, and attachment theory. I am also trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy, which is an evidence-based and WHO-recommended treatment for trauma and PTSD. If you’d like to learn more, please reach out for a free consultation! *Please note, I am located in Toronto, and my working hours are as follows: Tuesday and Wednesday: 11am-7pm Eastern Time Thursday: 1pm-7pm Eastern time Friday: 10am-5pm Eastern Time

Understanding ADHD An ADHD diagnosis — whether brand new, years old, or still just a strong suspicion — can feel like a lot to carry. Maybe you've never been formally assessed, but you've spent years wondering why focus, motivation, and "normal" strategies never seem to work the way they do for everyone else. Or maybe you're worn down from fighting those same battles post-diagnosis. For women especially, that exhaustion often runs deeper — ADHD in women is frequently missed or misdiagnosed, and self-suspected ADHD is often waved off as anxiety, depression, or just "being too sensitive." Years spent masking, overcompensating, and second-guessing yourself can leave you running on empty, holding shame that was never yours to carry, and wondering where to go from here — assessed or not. You are not lazy, unmotivated, or broken. Your brain may simply be wired differently — and with the right support, that story can change. How I Can Help I work with adults at every point in their ADHD journey — diagnosed, self-identified, or still figuring out what's going on. This includes women and those exploring a possible late-in-life diagnosis, as well as people who suspect ADHD but haven't pursued formal testing, for whatever reason. As someone who lives with ADHD myself, I understand firsthand what it's like to navigate a mind that's busy, creative, and easily overstimulated. As an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) and Clinical Coach, I combine the depth of therapy with the practicality of coaching — helping you make sense of how ADHD (confirmed or suspected) shapes your identity, confidence, and relationships, while building real tools for everyday life. We can also talk through what assessment options look like, if and when that's something you want to explore. My Approach Most people with ADHD already know what they want to do — the challenge is closing the gap between knowing and doing. Part of that gap is emotional. Rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD) — the sharp emotional sting of perceived criticism or failure — quietly shapes relationships, careers, and self-worth in ways that often only click into place once ADHD enters the picture, whether that's through diagnosis or simple self-recognition. Mood shifts, emotional intensity, and trouble settling back down are core parts of ADHD, not personal failings, and they deserve focused, real support either way. I draw on CBT, DBT, and ADHD-informed coaching to work on both the emotional and practical sides of ADHD. DBT skills for regulation and distress tolerance map especially well onto ADHD life. Sessions stay structured but stay flexible — there's no judgment here for arriving late, needing to move, or not having a formal diagnosis yet. What We Can Work On RSD and emotional regulation, executive dysfunction and procrastination, ADHD burnout, self-suspected or undiagnosed ADHD, the specific realities of ADHD in women (masking, late diagnosis, hormonal impact), perfectionism and shame, communication and relationship struggles, workplace challenges, major life transitions, and living with ADHD — medicated or not, diagnosed or not. Virtual Therapy My practice is fully virtual — no commute, no transition time, no extra executive function spent just getting through the door. Let's work with your ADHD brain instead of against it, wherever you feel most at ease. If you're ready to build self-awareness, real-world skills, and confidence in your ADHD journey — whether or not you have a formal diagnosis — I'd be glad to walk alongside you. Additional Areas of Expertise While ADHD is my primary specialty, I also work with clients navigating addiction, anger management, and men's mental health issues. Addiction: I help clients understand the patterns behind their challenging behaviors. Whether it be substances, pornography, gambling, or social media—I can help develop healthier coping strategies to build sustainable recovery. I also support caregivers, partners, and family members affected by a loved one's addiction, working through boundary-setting, managing worry and frustration, and taking care of your own wellbeing while supporting someone you care about. Anger Management: We explore what's beneath the anger—frustration, shame, or feeling unheard—and develop tools for emotional regulation and communication that actually work in real life. Men's Issues: I create judgment-free space for men to explore emotions, relationship challenges, identity, and personal growth. Whether you're dealing with stress, transitions, or feeling stuck, we'll work through it together. Across all areas, my approach remains practical, collaborative, and grounded in compassion.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) under clinical supervision and an MA Counselling Psychology student. With over 5 years of experience supporting individuals on the spectrum, I bring both training and lived clinical practice to my work. I offer a warm space for growth and learning. As a first generation Canadian, I understand the work it takes to seek help. It can be stressful to take the steps to talk to someone about the difficulties going on around us, fearful of judgement or stereotypes. That's why I strive to make the environment as safe and inclusive as possible, let's joke about a meme and sip coffee, the session is your time to feel free and express your true authentic self. In our work together, I focus on creating a collaborative and compassionate environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. My approach is grounded in empathy and curiosity, while also offering practical tools and strategies to help you move forward in tangible ways. I enjoy using interventions such as CBT, which allows us to understand the roots of problems and how it affects our emotions and behaviours. Though I am not limited to just CBT, I implement different theories to best fit your needs, making the process smooth and comfortable. Starting therapy can feel a bit intimidating, you might not know what to say or where to start. That’s okay. You can show up exactly as you are. If you’re ready to explore things and feel more like yourself again, when you’re ready, reaching out can be the first step forward.
